The leader of the village of Kesalingayapally, located in the state of Andhra Pradesh, made large signs that declared the preaching of any foreign language to be forbidden. The Hindu sacred book, the Bhagavad Gita was then distributed at every house and evening meetings were scheduled in the community to teach the people the Hindu beliefs.
